Our Story
I’m Charline, founder of Enidak. My story began on the island of Jamaica, where, at just seven years old, I discovered the joy of making things with my own hands. I sewed clothing and home décor for myself and my family, then explored carpentry, creating wooden jewelry boxes. Even then, I was fascinated by the possibility of turning an idea into something someone could wear, use, or treasure.
After moving to the United States, I followed that creative calling and earned my first degree in Fashion Merchandising. Working in the fashion industry expanded my knowledge, sharpened my skills, and introduced me to people and experiences that changed my life. But over time, I began to lose touch with my own voice. I was absorbing the expectations and identities around me while drifting away from the person I wanted to be.
Leaving my job was a step toward finding myself again.
I returned to school and earned a master’s degree in business, chasing the American Dream I had been taught to want: financial freedom, a beautiful home, and a life that looked successful. Yet following that path brought student debt and the reality of working multiple jobs to make ends meet. It also led me to question what success meant to me—and what I wanted to create with my life.
I founded Enidak in 2013. The journey has been difficult, personal, and full of lessons. Today, we are a family-owned business with a renewed purpose: to bring our love of nature, art, culture, and comfortable clothing into a brand that encourages people to embrace their own stories.
That purpose lives in Humble Creatures—our expression of humility, resilience, and the creativity we carry through life’s challenges.
Enidak carries my Jamaican roots, my family’s commitment, and the courage to begin again. We are grateful to share it with you.
Wear your story. Stay grounded.
Enidak. Where humility begins.
